The brief

A logo for an interior design studio. It should feel soft, warm and dynamic.

The idea

Every interior begins with two things: a doorway and daylight. The symbol is a soft arch — the entrance to a home — with a beam of light falling through it. One side glows, one side rests in shadow. This is what an interior designer does: shape how light and shadow live inside a room.

Design direction

Soft, warm, dynamic. Natural, earthy colours from linen to umber, with a calm sage accent. An elegant serif wordmark balanced by a clean modern sans.

Cormorant Garamond (Headline typeface) — elegant high-contrast serif — wordmark, headlines, quotes. Free Google Font, SIL Open Font License.
